Press: Airport demonstration to show hydrogen option will fly

“The "immense" potential of hydrogen as a clean fuel is underutilised in Australia due to misconceptions about its transportation and availability, a local start-up warns.

The head of Brisbane firm Endua said the renewable energy source needs greater industry support, after showing off the company's hydrogen generation and storage technology at Archerfield Airport on Tuesday.

The demonstration comes amid heated debate over Australia's energy future before the next federal election and after a CSIRO report into the industry found it had the potential to generate $1.7 billion and create almost 4000 jobs by 2050.

Endua, which is backed by firms including Ampol, deployed two hydrogen technologies to the airport: an electrolyser to generate renewable hydrogen on site, and a power bank storage solution housed in a metal container…”
